The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society runs weekly classes at Greenbank Church halls for children on Saturday mornings and adults on Tuesday evenings. Our youngest dancers learn rhythm and movement to music, offering children the chance to enjoy Scottish dancing in a fun environment, meeting new friends and learning the basic shapes of formations and some easy dances. Leading on from this, as they gain more experience, they develop their knowledge of Scottish dance formations and steps while continuing to expand their knowledge of dances. Scottish dancing is great for fitness and health, building cardio endurance and boosting circulation. Our Advanced Beginners class will challenge you to learn in a friendly and relaxed way. This class is ideal if you are returning after a gap or have been in one of our Beginners classes and would like to build on your skills. Our experienced teachers will ensure that you learn at the right pace ensuring that you have a happy dancing experience in an inclusive atmosphere.
