Afterschool Music Group (P4–P7)

After a successful first term, the Greenbank Afterschool Music Group returns on Wednesday 21st October 2026, for P4 to P7 children.

Children will be met at South Morningside School at 3.15pm on Wednesday afternoons and walked up to Greenbank Church for a simple snack followed by musical games and singing. It will be run as an after-school group for up to 20 children, with three adult helpers.

The Group Leader, Steph Humphreys, attended the City of Edinburgh Music School and went on to study music at the University of Edinburgh, where she won the Tovey Memorial Prize for the most promising performer or composer. She now works as a Community Musician and is passionate about ensuring that music is accessible to all.

Parents or carers are asked to collect their children from Greenbank Church at 5pm.

The first session of the term (21st October) will be free – children are able to do a taster session upon request. Sessions are priced at £12 each, with the Autumn Term consisting of a block of 9 sessions for a total of £96 (first session free). The final session will be on the 16th December 2026.
